Just over two weeks ago the Monmouth Town Council Planning Committee heard a presentation regarding land near the Dixton roundabout.

This was welcomed as it provides an opportunity to be aware of a proposal prior to the possible submission of an application.

At present no application has been submitted. If, in the event an application is submitted, the normal planning rules and procedures will be followed by the county council.

Any future application may differ significantly from the current presentation, as a result of comments made recently.

In the event of an application being submitted, those wishing to comment upon it should do so with reference to the facts of the actual application. Comments should conform to the current planning framework.

Further information along with Monmouth Town Council's role in the planning process will shortly be available on the town council's website.
