Cars damaged – two arrested

Two Monmouth men have been arrested after cars were damaged in a town car park.

Last Friday (15th January), police received reports of three cars being damaged in Glendower Street car park.

While on patrol, officers arrested two males aged 23 and 21, both from the Monmouth area, on suspicion of criminal damage.

They have since been bailed pending further enquiries.

Monmouth officers have increased patrols both in uniform and plain clothes following a number of reports of criminal damage to shops and cars in the town centre.

Gwent Police is asking for any information on suspicious activity in the area.
