Have you got any photos of carnivals of yesteryear? If so, former Monmouthshire County Council Chairman Sue White would like to hear from you!
Sue is hoping to put together a display of carnival memorabilia and is appealing to members of the public to drop off any old photos they might have at the One Stop Shop, where it is planned to stage the display. Your photos will be photocopied and returned to your immediately.
"I'm hoping people will loan us their picture of past carnivals so that we can put on a display and hopefully they would give everyone some ideas for next year's carnival," she said.
Sue and her husband Graham have loaned us this old photograph, which shows a float entered by members of the local branch of St John Ambulance of which Graham's father, Bert White, was a member.
