A MONMOUTH man has been fined £70 by Abergavenny Magistrates for having 0.2 grams of cannabis resin in his possession when he was stopped by police in Almshouse Street, Monmouth.
Clinton Stephen Edwards, 29, of Woodland View, Wyesham, pleaded guilty to the offence.
Mr Chris Davies, defending, said it was a very straightforward case involving a very small amount of cannabis. There were no aggravating features.
The Magistrates ordered that the drug by forfeited and destroyed.
