WYESHAM'S Busy Bees held a coffee and planting morning Wednesday 14th May, enjoying an array of visitors who came along with a pot to plant with seeds and made a small donation in aid of the Wyesham Community Garden. The successful event was very well supported by the community, raising £150. Busy bees would like to thank local businesses for donations of compost, plants and seeds such as Handyman House, Millbrook Garden Centre, Wye Valley Country Store, The Potting Shed, Pengethley Garden Centre and also donations from the public. Also many thanks to Rob Rennie Plant and Construction who carried out the main structure of the garden. Wyesham Rainbows, Brownies and Guides have been very busy adding a burst of colour, planting flowers and making butterflies to decorate the garden. The children are already having lots of fun enjoying the garden. The voluntary community groups that meet at Kymin View Community room on a regular basis have been allocated an area of land within the school grounds to create their own garden. The groups are Busy Bees toddler group, 1st Wyesham Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and The Girls Brigade. The community garden gives the children a safe stimulating environment to use. The volunteers are continuously fundraising to gather enough money to create a variety of sensory areas within the garden. Busy Bees Toddler Group Busy Bees is a pre-school group open to families or carers with children under the age of four.
