ONE of the leading Linux support companies in the UK is celebrating business success after being crowned winner of a national awards scheme for Most Impressive Growth.
Tiger Computing, based in Monmouthshire, was announced as category winner at the national convention by the Entrepreneur’s Circle in Birmingham after judges recognised the business’s commitment to strategic growth, with its net profit increasing five-fold in a 12-month period.
Keith Edmunds, Managing Director of Tiger Computing, explained: “The business has always been profitable, but there came a stage when we realised that it was stagnant and we needed to do something fast. We subsequently joined the Entrepreneur’s Circle’s Mastermind Group in 2013 and started work on bringing the business back down to basics and build it up again with a clear and solid strategy.”
A key area which Tiger Computing was praised for by the award’s organisers was its dedication to expanding the level of support it offered clients, showcased by the introduction of a 24-hour service which meant members of staff were available to clients at all times of the day.
“Our whole ethos is based upon providing clients with the very best solution for their exact needs, and by offering a 24-hour service, we were able to open up the communication channels we had with clients and were subsequently able to deliver an enhanced and more proactive service.
“At Tiger Computing, we believe that if a client has to tell their IT company about a server problem, their support company has already failed. This overarching philosophy means we work hard to keep our clients’ Linux servers running smoothly at all times. Our ongoing growth, together with this recent award, is a testament to our success.”
Tiger Computing Ltd is based in the Forest of Dean on the outskirts of Monmouth on the England-Wales border, with a further office in Kent. Specialising in offering proactive support to Linux users and a focus on guaranteed up-time, Tiger Computing prides itself on listening to, challenging and questioning its clients to deliver the very best solution for their needs.
