Over 30  volunteers from Magor Brewery celebrated World Environment Day, (4th June) early by swapping their usual day's work of brewing beer to clean up the Monmouthshire foreshore and 'Save the Beach', with the help of environmental charity, Keep Wales Tidy.

SunRise Save the Beach is a global programme led by Mexican beer brand Corona.

Corona SunRise Save the Beach comes from the desire to give back to the beaches that have given us so much.

It is a platform for social responsibility that oversees the care of the beaches and coasts worldwide. Corona has always been synonymous with the beach and that's why they want to give back and help to preserve its natural beauty.

The team from AB InBev's Magor Brewery joined Keep Wales Tidy's expert officers to clean up and remove waste between Caldicot and Rogiet Moor and help to protect the coast for the community.

Tony Monteiro, Brewery Manager at AB InBev UK's Magor Brewery said: "Our dream is to be the best beer company bringing people together for a better world.

"At the heart of that dream is collective action. We believe we have an important role to play to address the world's most serious environmental challenges and we're proud of our colleagues and partners who helped to save the beach this week".

Chris Partridge, Special Projects Manager for Keep Wales Tidy, said: "It's fantastic to see so many enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers from Magor Brewery helping to care for the Welsh coast and setting a great example.

"AB InBev's staff demonstrate that individual action can make a real positive difference to our surroundings, ensuring that we have an environment that everyone can help care for and enjoy in the long run."
