MONMOUTH Police are warning householders to be on their guard against people making bogus telephone calls purporting to be from British Gas.
Sgt Mike Gray warned local residents to be aware that there had been a number of incidents of people making telephone calls to arrange to carry out valuations and surveys for security alarms. The calls were bogus.
Anyone receiving similar calls should be aware that they could be bogus and should check their callers' identities.
