A BOARD game night is taking place in Estero Lounge in Monmouth to raise funding for RABI – The Farmers Charity.
The event is free in purpose of raising proceedings towards the farmers charity. The upcoming game nights on May 7 which is taking place in the upstairs of the restaurant from 6.30pm.
RABI provides practical, financial and emotional support to farming people across England and Wales working directly with farmers to meet their needs and tailor their guidance.
The charity has put forward their strategy which has been based off The Big Farming Survey which revealed that in farming people experience consistently lower levels of physical and mental health than the UK average.
Together they want to ensure that all farmers are receiving the necessary support they need to overcome any barriers and struggles they could be facing in their lives whether it is financial needs or mental health concerns.
RABI hopes to improve access to health and wellbeing support by expanding services, including counselling and click and chat partnership programmes. Strengthen the community resilience and maximise their reach and impact by growing their volunteer network and partnership so more people are aware of the charity and what it has to offer.
This community event is open to families, friends and couples to help raise important proceedings towards this charitable cause, strengthening the importance of the Monmouth community and how people can come together in times of need.
Estero Lounge has been a focal point for community group meet ups and a place to raise money for various charities. The lounge has hosted events like their weekly quiz nights which raised money for a chosen charity.
