LUXURY Events, a new non-profit organisation, is raising money for charity through arranging quarterly black tie events at the Shire Hall, Monmouth.

Each event will be for a different cause, and all the proceeds from the nights will go to the allocated charity.

The first event is a Remembrance Day Ball on Saturday 9th November to raise money for the Poppy Appeal.

Kate McKinlay (pictured) of Luxury Events said: "There's nothing much to do in Monmouth except play bingo or go to the pub.

"We need something to look forward to, and we're hoping that Luxury Events will play a part in that.

"We are trying to encourage as many people as possible to take part on a voluntary basis so that all money raised can go straight to the chosen charity.

"We are actually appealing for a band to come and play at the event on the 9th so if anyone is interested then please get in touch."
