I am disappointed that I have to write to you a third time in response to anonymous letters alleging that we provide a substandard service.
If we have a particular problem in Monmouth with black box recycling collections we can only work on this if people contact us with their address rather than writing a letter of general complaint.
Our customer service standard is that we will respond to queries of any sort within one working day. We have very few complaints so I can guarantee management attention to every allegation of littering or missed boxes.
With regards to the comment about plastic collection - unfortunately this is outside my remit as contractor to the county council.
Council policy is that only pilot areas receive plastic collection for the time being.
However, we have been collecting plastics on behalf of the county council in Portskewett for four years now and will shortly be extending to many more areas, so prospects are promising.
