Monmouth kicked off into the wind against Pill Harriers Youth in a league match after a morning of heavy rain. It was soon obvious that they were up against a robust set of forwards.
There was some outstanding running angles, good basic passing and great support play by forwards and backs, with the replacements fitting in seamlessly.
This led to captain Aaron Price crossing for two tries, Collins going over for the forwards, and then further tries finished off by Matthews and Brearley, with Samuels putting over conversions.
Some great running rugby but also good basics at scrum and lineout, and good to have players not involved this week giving support from the side. A final score of 46 to 5.
Next week the Youth have an away league game at Whiteheads in Newport.
