ENTRIES are pouring in for the Cornfield 5k Fun Run with over 50 entrants registered online to date, with many more pledging their intention to run.

The run will be started by former Wales international Nathan Blake who will also be handing out the medals.

Organisers are hoping for a well-attended and successful event which will lead to the fun run becoming an annual event.

Runners will have a great opportunity to raise funds for the charity, local organisation or club of their choice.

The Cornfield Project 5K also includes a children's trail and starts from the Portskewett Recreation Hall and follows the public footpath towards Caldicot, joins the coastal path to Sudbrook Camp and returns along the same route to finish in the Cornfield.

There will be refreshments and various stalls on site.

Entry is priced at £5 for adults, £3 for juniors (aged 15 and under) and £1 for the trail.

The event will take place on Sunday 26th April with the run due to start at 11am.
