A man was punched and left with injuries needing hospital treatment when he left the King Charles public house recently. Police are appealing for witnesses to the altercation in Broad Street, Ross ,which happened between 1am and 1.40am on Sunday, July 15th. The victim had left the pub when he became embroiled in a verbal altercation with another man, who had also recently left the pub. This resulted in the victim being punched several times and suffering injuries which needed hospital treatment. A 22-year-old man was subsequently arrested in connection with the assault and has been released on bail.
