Art in Penallt weekend returned this year with a move back to home territory after having a year off.

The 3-day event over the Bank Holiday weekend also saw daily art workshops tutored by professional artists .

The event organisers, all local volunteers, have for the first time partnered with the Gwent Wildlife Trust whose Pentwyn Farm centre hosted a series of family-friendly events.

Caroline Peters, Chair of Art in Penallt said: “ All the net profits from admissions, sales and a raffle will again go to local charities. We are proud that previous efforts have raised a cumulative £25,000 for the good of the community. “

This year’s nominated charities include: Babington Meadow Recreation Ground Trust, Penallt United Charities, Penallt Old Church and Pelham Hall.
