The recent Art in Penallt event over the August Bank Holiday Event teamed up with Art in Penallt Teams up with Gwent Wildlife Trust for the first time and the new collaboration brought fantastic community engagement to the area.

The Trust had a fantastic time, welcoming an estimated 150 plus visitors to their Pentwyn Farm nature reserve.

They held several nature-based workshops including a very popular sound bath, clay workshop, wildlife photography, willow weaving and autumn wreath making. The feedback was very positive and people of all ages enjoyed participating in our community event.

The impressive 7m X 1.5m Community Wall Mural displayed in the barn was certainly a highlight with most people having a go at some wildlife painting with brushes, hands and fingers. We're hoping to hang this beautiful community collaboration in the local church for a few months in the lead up to Christmas to inspire people to help wildlife locally and help halt climate change.
