The recent annual exhibition of watercolours by the Art Group of St Mary’s Church, Caldicot, has resulted in a donation of over four hundred and fifty pounds for their church hall fund. This was duly handed over to the Rector, Father Dennis Richard’s by the group’s tutor, Ernie Bee.

Nineteen members of the Art Group exhibited their works over the August Bank Holiday weekend, with over eighty paintings being on display. Several students sold paintings, along with greetings cards which featured some of their work. Refreshments were also provided to visitors.

Commenting on the Art Group and their exhibition, the organiser, Rosemary Flint said how much the art group enjoyed this annual event which compliments the creativity and fellowship enjoyed when they meet on Monday afternoons. “We are always amazed at how many people visit the exhibition and the support we get from our community.”
