Monmouth Chamber of Commerce has slammed the lack of CCTV in the town following an arson attack on the Monnow Bridge over the bank holiday weekend.
In a statement released to the Beacon, the chamber said: "The incidence of shop break-ins and vandalism has continued in May, with many instances of graffiti on buildings in town.
"This month, there has not only been the theft of Henry's war baton from a public building, but an arson attack on probably the most iconic feature of the town, the gatehouse on old Monnow Bridge.
