Following the recent spate of burglaries in Raglan, business leaders have joined forces to form Raglan Watch, a movement to patrol the streets in the area in an attempt to halt the number of crimes, that have spiked in recent weeks.

The most recent of these was a burglary at Raglan Garden Centre on 13th June.

As a result of increased police patrols in the area, a van was stopped, and the driver made off.

A number of stolen items were found in the back including garden furniture and Chimeras.

A 23-year-old man from the Monmouth area has been arrested on suspicion of commiting a burglary, and at the timeof going to press is on bail helping police with their enquiries.

Following police enquiries into the Frank Sutton burglaries, a 31-year-old male and a 25-year-old female from the Pontypool area have been arrested, and a number of items have been recovered.
