SIR,

While on one of my weekly strolls around Monmouth, I was walking across the front of the houses at Cappers Place, which I hadn't realised had been turned into a race track.

To my surprise a vehicle shot across the grass between the houses and the children's play area, nearly colliding with me.

Unfortunately the vehicle was too fast for me to get the registration number .

By making this shortcut, this person not only put my life in danger but the lives of all the children playing in the park.

I wish it was possible to put some kind of bollard up as this is not a road but an area of lawn.
