AN APPEAL has been launched to find a 61-year-old Monmouth man who was last seen yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

John Slater was last seen at approximately 4pm yesterday afternoon (23rd January) leaving his home address on foot.

A Gwent Police said officers are concerned for his welfare, and that this behaviour was "totally out of character".

John is described as white, with grey balding hair, and wearing a black coat, blue jeans and grey trainers. He was carrying a black holdall bag at the time.

Anyone with information relating to John’s whereabouts is asked to call Gwent Police on 101, quoting log 382 of 23/01/19.
