People of Monmouth, where are you?

Firstly there was the Voskresenije Ensemble from St Petersburg, enchanting singers at St Mary's Church; then the delicious Peter Karrie at Bridges, what an evening that was – wonderful singing of songs from the musicals, also singing were Chepstow Comprehensive boys and girls with beautiful voices. Both these events had scant attendance.

Finally, the black tie charity event at the Shire Hall last week, which was sadly cancelled at the last minute through lack of interest. It was held in aid of the Poppy Appeal!

There is such apathy, which is quite saddening. Each one of these events was quite different, so one cannot say there is no diversity.

Come on Monmouth, what exactly do you want?
