ANNIE WILLIS, celebrated her 100th birthday at a family party on Sunday, January 27th. Annie, who lives at The Chestnuts Residential Home was delighted to find a special greting from Her Majesty the Queen among her birthday cards. At the Chestnuts she enjoyed a special party on Monday afternoon, with the wonderful surprise of a naval officer stripogram, paid for by the staff, which she thought was great. Annie was born in Aintree Liverpool, and moved to Ross in 1996 to be nearer her son Alan and his family, she has 3 grandchildren. Annie is a very bubbly person who loves a laugh and joke, she always has a smile for everyone. When asked what has contributed to her long life, Annie said "I put it down to good plain food with a drop of whiskey thrown in, and, of course, a good sense of humour."
