Residents of a Monmouthshire village are up in anger against plans by the County Council to put four affordable homes on a local playing field.

Cross Ash residents claim that the plan to provide extra housing in their village will put four semi-detached homes on an area that their children have played on for generations and create further parking problems where there is already a lack of residential parking.

Community leaders met with local Community Councillors last week to explain why they feel that the plans should be refused as they stand, and hope that objections by those affected will be sympathetically dealt with by the County Council.
