SIR,

With the apparent need by Monmouthshire County Council (MCC) to extend the population of Monmouth by ludicrous amounts of new housing, considering the constricted roads in the town centre, overstreched public resources – doctors, schools etc – the need to add a lot more housing to Wyesham becomes even less apparent given the major traffic problems at certain times of day.

It would make more sense if MCC had considerd some alternate access means to the area before the short-term profit options of a substantial increase in housing (and population) with all the ancillary problems that creates.
