BOYBAND Blue is set to make an exciting appearance at Chepstow Castle on Sunday 30th August.

One of the biggest boybands of the noughties, Blue certainly need no introduction. With 15 million records sold worldwide including three number one albums, Simon Webbe’s runner-up performance in 2014’s Strictly Come Dancing and their new ITV2 hit show Blue Go Mad in Ibiza, the boys have certainly made a big comeback since re-uniting in 2011.

Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe, Duncan James and Antony Costa found their fan base again with their adoring fans on the TV show The Big Reunion in 2013 and the Big Reunion Boy Band Tour last year. 2015 has already seen Blue perform a sell-out UK headline tour, and release their brand new album Colours. They will finish their UK dates for this year at Chepstow Castle, a stunning setting for a summer’s evening.

The boys are looking forward to playing at the venue. “We have never played in a castle before,” says Antony Costa, “We imagine the acoustics will be amazing, and we are eager to see our South Wales fans.

He is grateful for the second chance they have been given by fans. He said: “There’s not much difference this time except that we are older and wiser. We still enjoy every minute of it like it was our first show. For us to be out there again and get a second chance is a great feeling.

“My baby daughtter has come to a few dates this year and I might ask if I can bring the family to Chepstow.”

Antony is looking forward to a positive future with the lads. They have certainly had their share of stellar collaborations, including Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Wales’s very own national treasure, Sir Tom Jones.

Antony confirmed the Blue lads are working on their new projects. He said: “We all put ideas in and work on the whole thing together, and respect each other’s ideas. It’s really great.”

So what can fans expect at Chepstow Castle? Expect all the hits: All Rise, One Love, If You’re Getting Down, Fly By, U Make Me Wanna to name but a few, plus a smattering of some of their newer material. “It will be a case of, ‘something old, something new, and something Blue – but nothing borrowed!” said Anthony.
