Three "professional advisers" who were employed by a Tintern businessman to acquire a hotel in the village have been sentenced at Merthyr Crown Court after being found guilty of conspiracy to commit fraud.
The trio were found guilty at Newport Crown Court last month after the jury had retired for more than eight hours.
Alun Weekes, 59, a finance broker, of Heol Don, Whitchurch, Cardiff; Colin Harris, 50, a financial adviser, formerly of Abergavenny, but now living in Andover, Hants, and Paul Dallimore, 57, an accountant of Wentwood View, Caldicot, were each disqualified from holding a company directorship for two and a half years by Judge Philip Richards.
