GWENT Police were called at approximately 6:50am today (Friday 15th April) after a reported road traffic collision on the A40 between Raglan and Abergavenny. The incident involved a lorry and a car, causing a diesel spillage on the carriageway.

The road is now closed westbound as work to clear the spillage is performed. A spokesperson for Traffic Wales could not confirm what time the road will be reopened, but diversions are in place via the old Raglan road.
