The female passenger of the Silver Ford KA involved in a road traffic collision on the A40 on Saturday 20th July, who taken to hospital with serious injuries, has since died. She was 73 years old and from Crickhowell.

The collision involved two vehicles- a silver Ford KA and a silver VW Golf. The collision also resulted in the death of the driver of the KA: 78-year-old David Marshall from Crickhowell.

The two vehicles were travelling in the same direction between Raglan and Abergavenny at about 9.30pm.

A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, in particular for the driver of a Ford Transit van or similar, which was believed to be travelling in the same direction when the collision occurred, to contact them on 101 and quote log number 608 20/7/13.
