Cross Ash show was another spectacular success with an excellent entry in the produce and flower competitions and plenty of entertainment for all the family, from dancers to real live snakes.

Opened by the High Sheriff of Gwent, Murray MacFarlane, the day got off to a swinging start with a dancing display from 'Dance Mania', following the cross country race. The judges, Murray Macfarlane, Jan Thomas and Desmond Pugh had the difficult task of judging the Miss Cross Ash competition and the fancy dress while the dog show proved a popular draw.

The water chute was back again, with youngsters, and not-so youngsters, enjoying the slide.

The Miss Cross Ash was won by Abby Walker, and the under five fancy dress was won by Shaun Thomas.
