Llangattock Ploughing Society’s annual competition to find the champion ploughman was held in glorious weather conditions last Saturday, 18th September.
The society must give thanks to the Williams and Boret families for being such superb hosts and providing fantastic stubble fields for the ploughing and grass fields for the show.
Jon Cole took home the trophy for Champion Ploughman and Matthew Cooke defended his title as Best Young Farmer from Gwent, also taking home Best Monmouthshire Ploughman. Up and coming youngster Beau Cole took home the Youngest Competitor Trophy and was outright winner in his Open Conventional class.
Other trophy winners on the day included Andrew Elms for Best Working Horse Team and Hannah Mason in the Best Female Ploughing Competitor category. More results to follow.
