ROALD Dahl was the theme of Caldicot’s carnival this year, which took place on Sunday 25th June.

Walking floats and vehicle floats made up the procession from King George V playing field to Caldicot castle, where Sudbrook girl’s FC were voted best vehicle float and Ysgol Y Ffin, the best walking float.

Cheer leaders, dancers, bands and children theatre groups entertained the masses, with fun, frolics and fair ground rides in abundance.
