A case of NIMBY?

Sir,

I was very interested to read your correspondent's letter regarding the "monstrosity" which has appeared in Dixton Close.

I totally agree, and understand that Monmouth Town Council turned down this planning application, only to have their objections reversed by the county council.

Could this be a case of NIMBY?

Dixton Close has endured months of heavy constructor's vehicles tearing up the road and this huge edifice does nothing for the visual amenities.
