AN APPEAL has been launched after an assault in Monmouth on Tuesday night.

Gwent Police are appealing for information following the assault which took place on Chippenham Playing Fields in Monmouth on 26th July.

The offence occurred sometime between 10.30pm and 11pm.

The victim was pulled from behind by two males and was violently assaulted.

Both suspects are described as being white males possibly 18 to 19 years old and around 5ft 11 in height.

One of the offenders is of a slim frame, possibly wearing tracksuit bottoms, the other male had short brown hair with a beard or moustache.
