TWO men aged 21 and 28 from the Caldicot area have been arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.

Gwent Police has recovered a number of items believed to have been taken from vehicles in the Caldicot and Chepstow areas.

The recovered items include drills, CD players, binoculars and a Liverpool FC lunchbox.

Officers are appealing to anyone who believes they have had items stolen from the region to contact them on 101 and quote log number 29 28/7/15.

In the last week, there have been 18 reports of thefts from vehicles with 11 offences reported in Caldicot and seven in Chepstow.

The worst affected areas are Severn, St Arvan’s, West End and Larkfield wards.

Officers are reminding drivers to lock their cars with 15 out of the 18 vehicles affected being left unlocked.
