A MONMOUTHSHIRE man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst under the influence of alcohol following a fatal crash on Saturday evening (19th March).

50-year-old Chepstow woman Karen Lewis was killed on the B4293 just outside Llanishen at around 11.45pm.

A 46-year-old man from the Monmouthshire area is currently on police bail pending further enquiries.

Gwent Police is appealing for more information following the collision.

The crash involved a black Kia Carens with one occupant in the vehicle. Karen Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene.
