Fire crews from Monmouth and Gloucester were called to a fire at one of the poultry houses east of Rockfield Road today when smoke was reported.
It is the third incident this year at the site where planning permission has been granted for the demolition of bungalow, partial demolition of existing poultry units, and a proposed retail /commercial development to provide an out of town shopping facility, including a co-op store.
The buildings have undergone an asbestos assessment and are due for demolition.
The site was made safe.
