CIGARETTES and scratch card holders have been taken after a burglary from a shop in Monmouth.

At approximately 03.33am on Monday (26th June), Gwent Police received reports of a burglary at the McColls shop on Wyesham Road in Monmouth.

CCTV shows two men wearing masks entering the store after forcing the front door.  

They were seen leaving in a small, dark coloured, hatchback which was possibly a Volkswagen Golf.

Sharon Thomas, manageress of McColls said that all the burglars took was scratch cards and cigarettes: “It’s less bulky items they go for, that’s all they ever take now,” she said.
