TWO bodies were found in a Pwllmeyric house in the early hours of Wednesday last week.

An elderly man and woman were identified and while the investigation into their deaths is continuing, police are not looking for anyone in connection to them.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “At approximately 3am on Wednesday, 4th October, officers attended a property in Orchid Meadow, Pwllmeyric, following concerns being raised for the welfare of two residents.

“Sadly a 67 year old woman and a man, 71, were found deceased at the house.

“An investigation is on-going to establish the events surrounding the incident but officers are not looking for anyone in connection with this.”
