Firefighters from Monmouth tackled a blaze on Rockfield Road for two hours on Tuesday night (19th July).

The fire was located at derelict former chicken sheds adjacent to Vauxhall Fields.

Crews brought the fire under control and it is expected that the cause of the blaze will now be investigated.

Plans were approved in March for the conversion of the sheds and site into a new Co-operative store and possible hot food takeaway and hairdressers.
