THIEVES paid little attention to security measures when taking two bikes in Bulwark on the weekend.

The high value bikes were stolen despite being chained to a wall inside a locked garage.

The garage at a property on Redwood Close, Bulwark was broken into sometime between 3.30pm on Friday, 20th October and 7.30pm on Saturday, 21st October.

The up and over garage door, which was locked, was jemmied open and entry was gained.

The bikes were attached to the wall with brackets and secured with a thick chain.

One of the bikes stolen was a light green Santa Cruz Bronson bike with full suspension.

The other was a black N.S Snabb mountain bike with bright green handlebar grips and a full suspension.

Each of the bikes are worth thousands of pounds.

Gwent Police is asking anyone with any information regarding the theft of these bikes to call police on 101 quoting the reference number 1700410105.
