AN APPEAL for information has been launched after a 20-year-old man was killed in a collision with a lorry on the A40 in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 2.45am on the northbound carriageway near Raglan, involved a heavy goods vehicle and the pedestrian.

The identity of the man has not yet been named.

Gwent Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage in relation to the incident.
