A 73-year-old man has been taken to hospital after a car crash on the A40 near Raglan Castle this morning.

Gwent Police were called at about 10.30am to the collision on the Monmouth-bound carriageway.

The 73-year-old driver was taken to the University of Wales Hospital Cardiff and is stable.

The roads was closed for a time but has now been reopened.
