Police investigation after river seal shooting

CROSS border efforts are being made by police to investigate reports of a seal being shot in the River Wye on Friday 9th June.

A Gloucestershire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Gloucestershire Constabulary and Gwent Police are investigating reports of a seal being killed and awaiting further information.

“We have had a third party report of seals being killed in the River Wye at either Tintern or Brockweir. The call came in on Friday morning (9th June).”
