£770 phone theft prompts police appeal

THE theft of a phone worth more than £770 has prompted a police appeal in Chepstow.

Gwent Police is appealing for information following the theft of a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus from the O2 shop in Chepstow on Tuesday 23rd May.

The phone, which retails in the UK at £779.99, was taken at approximately 10.15am.

A spokesperson from Gwent Police said: “We would like to speak to the man in the CCTV image as we believe he may be able to help us with our enquiries.”

Anyone who has any information about the identity of the man pictured should contact Gwent Police on 101 quoting log number 130 23/05/17.
