Five marathons in five days for Dan

By Monmouthshire Beacon/Chepstow Beacon in Local People

YOU may remember Dan Morgan from last year, when he raised £800 for Home-Start Monmouthshire by running four half marathons throughout March.

Well he says he wants to run for them again, but this time he is going to run just over five marathons in five days!

This will consist of a 13.5 mile run to his place of work at Henry Howard Finance in Langstone and then a 13.5 mile run home to Chepstow.

The route will take him from the Danes estate down into Mathern and then out all the way along the A48 until reaching Henry Howard Finance. He will be accompanied by friend and colleague James Barnes for the duration of the challenge.

The t-shirts supplied by Dan Hines at 1Life1Time with ‘Home-Start Monmouthshire’ on the back will help you spot Dan and James running, so it would be great to encourage them both if you see them running, by giving them a beep as you drive by.

The Monmouth Male Voice Choir is kindly performing a fundraising concert for Home-Start Monmouthshire on the 19th May at 7.30pm, in St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Monmouth.

Tickets are £8 available from Santander in Monmouth, The Shire Hall, Monmouth and Home-Start Office in Bridges Centre, by calling 01600 715608.

All the money raised from these fundraising events will go towards helping Home-Start Monmouthshire continue supporting families across Monmouthshire.

Further information about the charity is available by calling 01600 715608, 07714287629 or by emailing
